How did you pitch the dance/movement initiative to the staff? What were their initial responses? Was there any opposition to overcome? If so, how did you overcome it?

We can all likely relate to seeing municipal departments functioning in silos - sometimes even with competing interests... Have the space activations highlighting municipal staff created stronger synergy (support, interest, communication, etc.) across multiple departments? If so, how has the public reacted to seeing this synergy?

Quien maneja los alleys? LADOT? Hubo alguna transferencia de propiedad del departamento de transporte al departamento de parques? Who manages and owns the alleys? LA DOT? DId they transfer the ownership to the Department of parks? Which gov. agencies were part of the project?

Thank you to all our speakers! It’s very exciting to see how these engagement strategies have led to outcomes like a wide range of increased use of spaces (from swimming to stewardship), to increased awareness and support of more (and needed) funding for these systems. I can’t wait to dig in more in the breakout groups!
