parks can be used after certain events (if safe) for social and medical services

40:17
just to add how parks can make communities more resilients

41:33
Absolutely! The majority of our parks were used in response to covid, whether vaccination centers, food distribution, or PPE distribution.

41:52
exactly!

42:39
Is this playground open to the public after school hours right?

42:59
does NY open all the playgrounds to the public after school hours?

45:09
https://www.ucsusa.org/resources/killer-heat-united-states-0

45:49
Thanks for those comments and questions Dulce. You're right that public access to schoolyards is key. Those sites are open in NYC. Opening access to community schoolyards is the number 1 opportunity to provide Americans with high-quality, close to home parks.

52:19
Not all NYC schoolyards are open to the public after school hours. We strive to realize more than what we have today.

What type of public education and awareness accompanies your work? How receptive is the public?

01:04:57
do you have a methodology available online, of the data you used to define the priority neighborhoods?

01:06:37
Dulce, you can go to https://www.healthiersanjoaquin.org/download.htm to find the CHNA and CHIP reports, which include information about how the Priority Neighborhoods were selected. The newest reports were just completed and should be posted soon, but the 2019 reports used similar methodology.
